SYNOPSIS: The video reflect the contrast between interior and exterior events. Each one of the five video segments, is based on a stanza of the Cityshore poem written by Anita Cheng.

DESCRIPTION: The sequences in Cityshore were built from still images, digitized video and computer animations.

The digitally manipulated audio was constructed using the computer's synthesized voices (male and female) reading the text and human conversation captured during phone calls.

Audio clips were edited as independent sounds and then treated as musical notes to build the final compositions.

Produced in 1994, this project pushed the digital video and audio capabilities of our home computer system to its limits.
